Privacy Policy

Overview

SwiftClip extensions are designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the absolute minimum data necessary — which in most cases means zero data.

Data Collection

CleanLink Copier collects minimal data.

All URL processing happens locally in your browser. No URLs, browsing history, or personal information is transmitted to any server. The only data processed remotely is related to license activation (see below).

License & Account Linking

When you purchase a Pro license, the following data is processed:

• Email address — collected during Stripe checkout and used to link your license key to your account. Your email is stored on our secure Cloudflare Workers KV storage.
• License key — a unique key is generated per purchase and linked to your email. It is stored locally in your browser and on our server for validation.
• Chrome identity — the extension uses chrome.identity to retrieve your Google account email for license validation. This email is only sent to our license server to verify your license.

License validation occurs once at activation, then periodically (max once per day) to confirm your license is still active. Results are cached locally for offline use.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe collects payment details according to their own privacy policy. We only receive your email address and payment confirmation from Stripe.

Data Storage

License data (email, license key, activation date) is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV in the EU. Extension settings are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.sync (synced across your devices) and chrome.storage.local (local only). No browsing data, URLs, or usage analytics are ever stored on our servers.

Permissions

CleanLink Copier requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab — to read the current page URL for cleaning
• scripting — to copy the cleaned URL to your clipboard
• storage — to save your settings, license key, and cleaning history locally
• identity — to retrieve your Google account email for license validation

These permissions are used exclusively for the extension's core functionality.

Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing and Cloudflare for hosting and license management. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
